Back when there were nothing, absolutely nothing, time wasn’t invented yet, and light was in the process of becoming more confident, I had self-discipline. I knew what I wanted from this life, I had a plan, flat or grid, I had a plan. A vanilla ice cream was all I wanted. A delicious collapse of sugar and ice that would melt on your tongue and surf down your innocent throat with the brightness of daydreams. I knew how the taste was defined within my hollow senses. Long before “getting used to” was defined. Then time was created to take it all away from me.
